Thanks² Day 28, 29, & 30 - and any more.

I'm going to group these last three days together...and also just throw in a whole bunch of things that I'm thankful for.

I'm thankful that my baby boys have been very healthy ever since they were born.  They have not once been sick, and I hate to talk about it and jinx us.  So that's all about that.

I'm thankful that my baby boys sleep through the night.  Every morning I wake up thankful for the rest that I got, and am ready to face the day with my boys.

I'm thankful for my job.  I hate leaving my babies all day long, but I love what I do and am glad that I only have to work 3 days a week.

I'm thankful for my husband.  He stays at home with our boys while I'm at work.  He cooks dinner, he rocks and sings the boys to sleep, he plays with them.  Not all husbands would be willing to do this!

I'm thankful for our house.  For its warmth, its spaciousness, and it's character.

I'm thankful for my friends and their willingness to help babysit,  run errands, or bring food to us.

I'm thankful for the new season thats at our heels.  Winter brings (hopefully) snow, big coats, scarves, hats, mittens, boots and hot drinks.  I'm excited to spend this winter in our house in front of our warm fireplace.

I'm thankful for our christmas tree and how it makes our house smell of pine.

I'm thankful for our awesome advent calendar and the excitement of creating fun traditions with it when our children our older.

I'm thankful for the chance I have to buy Christmas presents.  I love getting presents for people that I know they have wanted for a long time and will love.

I'm thankful for my life.  I don't deserve any of it, but God has given it to me anyway.
I'm so thankful.

Thanks² Day 27

I'm thankful for our new family photos.

My friend Lane is building her portfolio for her own photography business, called Meredith Lane Photography.  We were lucky enough to be one of her first clients!  We had fun taking these pictures, and we love how they turned out!  So excited that I have photos like these to capture such awesome times in our lives.

[warning: long post of photos.]

I love both the boys' expressions in this one, it makes me laugh every time!

Cloth diapers really do help keep their pants up!

Heart.

love this!

I like how both babies are completely distracted.  Judah- a bird? a tree maybe?  Foxx-  my hand, or his cardigan.

Love this one!

Please excuse my turkey chin.

jean butt!

x2!

Judah looks so intense!

Love this one also!

And then Foxx kicked his shoe off.

Thanks² Day 25 & 26

#25.  I'm thankful for these swaddle blankets.

Our boys have loved being swaddled since day one.  When they were tiny, we used to just swaddle them with receiving blankets, or muslin swaddle blankets.  Now that they are older and don't exactly stay very still and allow us to swaddle them efficiently, we like to use these Kiddopotamus SwaddleMe wraps!  There are many baby brands that make similar wraps, we just only have experience with these and we love them!  The boys know that once they get swaddled in, it's time for bed.  and they go to bed all warm and cozy.  It's pretty amazing.

#26.  I'm thankful for our boys' first Christmas ornaments and stockings.

The sock monkeys have the boys' names embroidered on the stocking that he's holding.  My great grandma sewed them on! This year will be our first Christmas in our new house, and I'm really excited to decorate!

and we have a fireplace.  That already has stocking hooks on it.  PERFECT.

Thanks² Day 24

I'm thankful for how awesome my husband is, and that we got to share this meal together.

I had to work today (7am to 7pm).  Jeremy had the boys by himself all day long.  He even managed to cook this dinner and had it almost all completely ready by the time I got home!  It was very impressive. and delicious!

(Roasted chicken, green beans+gouda cheese, potatoes, sausage+apple stuffing, ham and cheese bread.)

And as always, I'm thankful for all 3 of my boys.

Thanks² Day 21, 22, & 23

#21-I'm thankful for our 2 bumbo seats.

When the boys are in good moods, they like to sit in their bumbo seats.  I love that I can put them up on the counter or table and they can be entertained by watching me cook/bake!  (Yes, I said counter and table, but they are never near the edges, I have a constant eye on them and I never leave them unattended.  calm down.)

#22-I'm thankful for candles.

They fill our home with such good smells. And they're pretty.  And Judah was completely amazed by the little flame.  He looks like he's ready to pounce on the thing.  No more candles at couch height once they start crawling/scooting/walking/climbing!!

#23-I'm thankful for this rocking chair.

We scored this thing brand new, for $50 bones.  That's a pretty awesome deal, because these things are around a couple hundred dollars new.  It is where I rock my boys to sleep every day and night, and I love it.

Thanks² Day 19 & 20

It's sort of hard to tell, but this is a picture of our iPad showing the rainy weather forecast.

I'm thankful for the rain.

I love a good rainy day, and the gloominess of today helped me get some rest after my last night shift.  (going to day shift this week!)

I'm thankful for warm, comforting, homemade broccoli and cheddar soup on this rainy day.

Thanks² Day 17 & 18

I'm thankful for my KitchenAid stand mixer.
This thing is awesome.  It makes homemade bread-making so easy.  It also can shred chicken!  How cool is that!? (details about that in a food blog post coming soon)  It allows me to multi-task, and I use it all the time.

How cute are these tiny scrubs!?

I'm thankful that I have a job that I love, as a nurse.
I have been on night shift (7 pm - 7 am) since I have started as a nurse, and it has been rough.  I recently have returned to work from my maternity leave, and next week I am moving to day shift! (7 am - 7pm).
This is going to make my sleeping patterns sooo much better and easier.  I can spend even more time with my boys since I won't have to sleep any during the day!  Not only am I thankful that I have a job, but that I only have to work 3 days a week.  Just 3!  That gives me even more time with my little family. : )

Thanks² Day 14 & 15

I'm thankful that we have a nice home to live in, and I love coming back to it after a long day or trip away!

I'm thankful for the few minutes of free time that I get when my babies decide to be enthralled by the moving animals above them on their mobiles!
