Babies' First Road Trip

We decided that it was time to take the boys on their first road trip, to Huntsville, Alabama, to their grandparents' house.  Huntsville is about 2 hours away.  We planned to leave immediately after they last ate, so that we could make it down there before they needed to eat again.  Well, we took for granted how much stuff you have to have to pack with you to take care of two little ones.  Clothes, blankets, sleepers, pack and play, diapers, etc take up a lot more room than we expected!  After lots of rushing around thinking of what else we need, we finally got the boys all packed up and loaded in the car.  This is what the back of the car looked like:

And that is all just for one night.  I can't imagine what our trip to Michigan car load will look like!

The boys almost always fall asleep immediately once we start driving.  We were almost there when we had to stop for gas.  As soon as the car stopped, they both woke up screaming.  We had to change explosive poopy diapers in the back of our care as well as feed at a gas station.  We also learned on this trip why we love cloth diapers so much (more on that in a later post).

Papa T and Mama T have a nice screened in porch.  The weather was absolutely beautiful and the boys seemed to like it out there.  The following are just some pictures I took of the boys while at their grandparents.
